eROSITA transient search: AGN ignition, shutdowns, cloud events & fast radio bursts

M. Krumpe and the eROSITA_DE team

The X-ray telescope eROSITA onboard SRG observes the entire X-ray sky every half a year. This regular monitoring pattern opens the door to X-ray time domain astronomy. By comparing the different eROSITA all-sky scans, we can search for different transient phenomena. In this talk, I will focus on our search for AGN ignition, shut-down, and cloud occultation events. I will also introduce another project in which we are following-up previously known fast radio bursts with eROSITA.
